My Experience with an All-Inclusive Vacation

Updated: Oct 20, 2019

My family and I traveled to Cancun, Mexico a couple years ago. It was amazing to say the least. Me, my sister and mom stayed at one of the Oasis resorts and we only paid about $1300 each. (If I had been a travel agent at that time, we would have gotten even better rates, plus a commission payment).  Imagine--an average flight to Cancun would be about $800 in itself plus $500 for the hotel and meals--not a bad price at all!

We stayed at an all-inclusive hotel were all our meals were paid. They had a coffee shop sort of like Starbucks, but it was all paid for! It was limitless--we could get as much coffee or tea as we wanted--even our water bottles, which can add up in hot weather!

I absolutely enjoyed the restaurants. We dined at every restaurant they had each night and it was amazing food that was completely covered in cost. It felt like we were eating for free. They had a Japanese-Mexican fusion restaurant, and other interesting types of food and the restaurants were very fancy. It was like a foodie haven, although I'm not even much of a foodie--I felt like one with all of that unique cuisine.  The last restaurant we ate at before we left was their fanciest one yet with some of the most interesting unique food I've ever tasted.

We did not venture out because we were just there for the beach. The variety of restaurants and amount of things to do outweighed venturing out. There was so much to do and try, we felt adequately entertained.  It was fun to just sit on a hammock close to the shore but on the shallow water and just relax. The view was amazing too.

We did go to their spa center and it was great. There were peacocks walking around. We got massages and then went to their special hot tub to relax.

It was a very memorable vacation that I would not mind doing all over again!
